Maggie: A Girl of the Streets
after having read Stephen Cranes, Maggie: A Girl of the Streets, a couple on of things come to my mind. While translation this novel I treasured to attempt to see the force out that was birthed as a pulp of cheer from a readers perspective. I also wanted to utilize trouble to the romantic foreboding of the characters, more specifically to Maggie and Pete. eventually for the purpose of this paper I want to briefly cater my thoughts on the novel as a whole.\nBeginning with the liking of violence being presented as a motley of entertainment, I felt that this notion was presented end-to-end the entire legend. From the opening of the story we read of the first bowelless encounter that Jimmy and the challenger young ones have. This is just the beginning of the numerous amounts of altercations that would take place. For me it appeared that the violence passim this novel was uncontrollably insert into the characters daily lives. Almost as for them to have disputes with o ne other whether it be a relative, a friend, or an enemy was as natural as it is for me to push up in the break of the day and brush my teeth. From a readers point of view, or from my point of view the fierce fulfils were rather entertaining. It was almost as I was reading an action movie script jam-packed full of punches. But not only does it provide entertainment for the reader and rather accommodate for the culture and time block of this text. It acted as a form of entertainment for the tenants living in the same building as the Johnsons. Crane states, The loud enormous sneering of the mother brought the denizens of the drunkard Alley tenant to their doors (Crane 981).\n go away from the violent aspects present throughout the story of Maggie. I would like to draw attention to the romantic aspects Crane has presented us with. Maggie, unaware of her developed crucify beauty comes into contact with Pete the incisive bartender.
